Notes

Whitehorn and his family arrived in Canberra in about 1959. He served in Vietnam from 21 October 1969 until 29 October 1970. The image from the AWM was taken when Whitehorn, and other soldiers, took a group of orphans to the Saigon Zoo shortly before his tour ended.
