Notes

Though born in Goulburn, Wallace lived in Tharwa as a boy. He left home as a 13 year old to live with his grandmother at Royalla before getting a job at the Government Printing Office in Kingston in 1928. He later worked as a ganger with the Department of Works and married Edith Foster at the Registry Office at West Block.
