Notes
Turner died on 6 November 1967 and is buried in Woden Cemetery. He served in World War 1 (service number 656) with the Australian Naval and Military Expeditionary Force in 1914 and then with the 17th Battalion (service number 5902) from October 1916. According to his World War 1 record he was born in Bowral, not Canberra (which is on the World War 2 Nominal Roll). Turner's two sons, Clarence and David, also served in World War 2.
