Notes
Tucker joined the Royal Australian Navy on 5 March 1951 but was discharged on 11 December 1960 so that he could take up an appointment as a Pilot Officer in the Engineering Branch, Aeronautical Category of the RAAF. He served two years with
No.2 Squadron at RAAF Butterworth in Malaysia and joined No.5 Squadron at RAAF Fairbairn in May 1967. From there he was deployed to Vietnam with No.9 Squadron from 19 March 1968 to 18 March 1969. Tucker served at various posts at Canberra, East Sale, Glenbrook and Richmond before his retirement in 1982. He died on 17 January 2022 at Greenway Views in Tuggeranong. He was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1969.
