Notes

Truesdale was a bus driver who enlisted with the Darwin Mobile Force in 1938 and, after the outbreak of the war, joined the AIF. He was captured during the campaign in Greece and sent to a German prisoner of war camp, Stalag IIIA at Potsdam where he spent the next four years. He was released from the POW camp in May 1945. Truesdale died on 8 March 1987 and is buried in the ex-services' portion of Gungahlin Cemetery.
