Notes
Trowbridge arrived in Canberra with his family in 1928 and in 1936 joined the public service as a messenger with the Patents Office. A scout with the 3rd Canberra (St. John's) Troop, he joined the RAAF in 1941 and was flying in a Tiger Moth along the coast of Devon, England when it crashed in January 1944, hospitalising him. After the war he married Freda Brown at St. Andrew's in Forrest and returned to the public service and lived in McKinlay Street, Narrabundah. He retired from the public service in 1980 and received an OBE the following year. Trowbridge died on 13 January 1995 and his ashes were interred in Woden Cemetery.
