Notes

Methodist Minister at the church in Reid at the time of his enlistment. Trathen had been minister at Reid for three and half years when he resigned to join the RAAF on 31 May 1943. He served at RAAF Station Canberra and No.8 Squadron. He married Irven Herbert, who worked for the YMCA, in December 1942.
