Notes

Storr arrived in Canberra in 1938 and enlisted in the RAAF in 1941. He served as a navigator in Beaufort bombers and Catalina flying boats in the Pacific theatre. Storr returned to Canberra after the war and eventually became a First Assistant Secretary at the Department of Defence.

In 2002 he became a volunteer at the Australian War Memorial Research Centre and by 2010 had completed the publication of his research on the deaths of around 11000 RAAF personnel in World War 2. For his work he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2010 "for service to the community through the research and documentation of World War 2 RAAF service personnel."
