Notes
Spurgeon first arrived in Canberra in the 1960s when he was posted to HQ at Russell Hill. In 1964 he was sent to the USA where he managed the F-111 project. He served at Headquarters, Australian Force Vietnam (RAAF Element) from 25 March 1970 to 19 April 1971. He died in Canberra on 16 September 2008.
