Notes
Bert Naveau was in Canberra by May 1912 with his father and family, probably living at the Home Affairs camp at Duntroon. He played football for Federals and Queanbeyan Rovers (which he captained). Naveau was a 22 year old carpenter working in Canberra with the Department of Works and Railways at the Power House when he enlisted in August 1915. He served with the 7th light Horse Regiment and the 2nd Machine Gun Squadron in Sinai and Palestine from August 1916 rising to the rank of Lance Corporal. He returned to Australia in June 1919 and was discharged on 27 July 1919. Naveau was the brother of Frank Naveau and died in Dubbo on 6 August 1974.
