Notes
Clapson served with the 23rd Battalion on Gallipoli in World War 1 before being wounded in France in June 1916. He played for North Melbourne when that club entered the VFL in 1925 and moved to Canberra in 1927, marrying the following year and moving to a home in Elimatta Street, Reid. Clapson served as Vice President of the Acton Football Club in the 1930s and, during the 1980s, was one of the last original Anzacs to attend Anzac Day marches in Canberra. He died in Canberra on 6 June 1987.
