Notes
Bromley was born in Ballarat in 1880 and was living in the Canberra area working as a painter when he enlisted on 15 September 1915 in Goulburn. He served as a Trooper with the 7th Light Horse Regiment from the end of 1916, spending most of the year in training and being treated for septic sores as well as being charged on three occasions with being absent without leave. During March and April 1917 the 7th Light Horse was involved in the attacks on Gaza in Palestine. Bromley was admitted to hospital in July 1917 with tonsillitis but then diagnosed with chronic plumbisen, returning to Australia in November 1917 with debility and mental instability for discharge. He was discharged in Sydney on 24 January 1918. Bromley died in Sydney in 1946.
