Notes
Backhouse worked as a clerk at the Patents Office before enlisting in 1942. Mustered as a Flight Mechanic in 1943, the following year Backhouse was performing those duties with 77 Squadron working on P40 Kittyhawks. He died in Sydney on 3 August 2014.
