Notes
Donald entered the Royal Military College, Duntroon in the third intake in 1912 and he was a member of the guard of honour at the Canberra naming ceremony on 12 March 1913. He was discharged from RMC in December 1913 because of unsatisfactory progress with his studies. He enlisted in February 1916 but applied for a discharge in July 1916 after his father died leaving his three young brothers orphaned. He served in World War 2 and retired on 28 June 1944.
Description - height 5 feet 10½ inches, weight 148 pounds, 34-37 inches, fresh complexion, hazel eyes, brown hair, Catholic, two scars on both knees, birth mark on back.
