Notes
Jennings belonged to the Royal Australian Garrison Artillery and was a limber gunner at the Royal Military College, Duntroon when he enlisted. Before he embarked for France with the Siege Artillery in July 1915 he married Doris Cleveland in Queanbeyan. He served on the Western Front during 1916 and 1917 but after recovering from illness, he was transferred to the 54th Battery of the 14th Field Artillery Brigade which was attached to the 5th Division of the AIF. 14FAB supported the 5th Division during the major battles of 1918 around Villers-Bretonneux, PĂ©ronne and the Hindenburg Line.
