Notes

Reg Stear was born at Duntroon though his family had been in the Ginninderra district for at least a decade - an older sister was buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Ginninderra in 1900 and his father was in the district in the 1880s. Stear joined the Royal Australian Navy on 29 June 1915. He served at sea with HMAS Australia and HMAS Melbourne between 1916 and 1920 and also enlisted for service in the Army in World War 2. Stear died in Lismore on 17 December 1979.

Description - height 5 feet 9½ inches, blue eyes, dark brown hair, fresh complexion, Methodist, scar on the right lumbar region, bracelet tattooed on his left wrist.
