Notes
Jim Harman enlisted in Goulburn with his brother Albert on 7 September 1916, just after his 21st birthday - he was born at the family property at Majura on 6 September 1895. Harman embarked with his other brother, Tom, in November 1916 as reinforcements for the 13th Battalion. He joined the battalion on the Western Front in August 1917 in the lead up to the Passchendaele campaign in Belgium and received a shrapnel wound to his foot near Polygon Wood on 29 September 1917. It resulted in his return to Australia for discharge on 5 July 1918. Harman moved to Queanbeyan in about 1930 and died on 17 March 1959. He was buried in Woden Cemetery.
