Notes
Vincent, who was fluent in French after spending nine years in New Caledonia in his youth, was the ACT Police representative in the fifth contingent of police sent to Cyprus as UN peacekeepers from 1968 to 1969. He remained in the police force after his return and later joined the AFP. By 1988 he was a Chief Superintendent and in the Australia Day honours for that year he was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to international relations and the community as head of the international branch of the AFP and of the Australian bureau of the International Criminal Police Organisation.
