Notes
Max Woolf was a helicopter pilot with No.9 Squadron based RAAF Fairbairn when he was deployed to Vietnam on 11 June 1969. He flew Iroquois helicopters on operations in Vietnam until returning to Australia on 3 November 1969. On the weekend of 25/26 October 1969 his helicopter crashed in jungle north west of Nui Dat but Woolf and his three crew were safely evacuated and hospitalised at Vung Tau. He was posted to Vietnam again from 4 February to 4 March 1970.
