Notes
Abbot was working in the Department of Trade and Customs when he enlisted in the RAAF in 1943. He was mustered as a flight mechanic and served with No.21 Squadron from September 1944. No.21 Squadron flew Liberator heavy bombers from Fenton airfield in the Northern Territory. After the war Abbot went into business as a motorbike mechanic at the Causeway and later in Lonsdale Street, Braddon. He died on 17 July 1996 on the Central Coast of NSW.
