After a brief period patrolling the west coast of the peninsula and a visit to Hong Kong, she resumed operations on the east coast around Chongjin and Songjin harassing coastal defences. On 25 May the Warramunga was part of a major naval bombardment of Chongjin in co-operation with US ships. The remainder of her time in Korean waters was spent patrolling in support of the USS Bataan.
