Notes
Wennerbom completed his Intermediate Certificate at Canberra Grammar School. He enlisted as an 18 year old on 22 December 1941 with the 14th Field Company and was sent to Papua in June 1942. He returned to Australia in February 1944 and was transferred to the 13th Works & Park Company shortly before being sent to Lae, New Guinea in October 1944. Wennerbom was transferred to ANGAU at the beginning of 1945 and received a gun shot wound to the right arm in March 1945. He was promoted to Corporal in September 1945 and returned to Australia in March 1946. After the war Wennerbom lived in Queenstown, Tasmania and died on 5 April 1984.
