Notes

Anderson entered the Royal Military College on 7 March 1912 and was a member of the Honour Guard at the naming ceremony in Canberra on 12 March 1913. His class was graduated early on 2 November 1914 and he joined the 8th Light Horse Regiment the following day as a Lieutenant, landing on Gallipoli on 21 May 1915. He was in the first line of light horsemen in the charge on The Nek, Walkers Ridge on 7 August 1915 during which he was mortally wounded. He died later in hospital on the beach at Anzac Cove.

Description - height 5 feet 5¾ inches, weight 140 pounds, chest 32-35 inches.
