Notes

Drayton was serving on the destroyer HMAS Nestor when it was bombed by enemy airplanes in June 1942 off the coast of Crete and then scuttled. He then served on another destroyer, HMAS Napier before returning to Australia.

After the war he worked as a painter and later lived in Burnie, Tasmania and at Wallendbeen NSW.

Description - height 5 feet 4½ inches, brown hair, hazel eyes, medium complexion, Church of England.
