Notes
Liston entered the Royal Military College, Duntroon in February 1915 and graduated at the end of 1917 when he was commissioned as a Lieutenant in a Special Draft of RMC graduates which arrived in England in April 1918. He served in France from September 1918 until the end of the war with the 10th Field Company Engineers.
