Notes
Glover entered the Royal Military College, Duntroon in March 1913 and graduated on 28 June 1915. He embarked in November 1915 for Egypt as a Lieutenant with the 17th Battery of the 6th Field Artillery Brigade and arrived in France in March 1916. In August 1916 he was mentioned in the 2nd Division Routine Orders for his good and gallant conduct at Pozières. He was recommended for the Military Cross for his work as a Forward Observing Officer at Bois Grenier, Ovillers and Pozières. He received a shell wound to the leg on 1 September 1916 and was evacuated to England for treatment. He rejoined the 6th Field Artillery Brigade in January 1917 and was appointed as a Captain with the 17th Battery but was injured in an accident when thrown off his horse. He rejoined his unit during Passchendaele and was appointed to the rank of Major. During October and November 1917 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for his work as a Forward Observation Officer and Liaison Officer and was also Mentioned in Despatches. He spent 1918 with the 3rd Division Artillery. When he enlisted in World War 2 with the 3rd Australian Tank Attack Regiment he was a grazier at Tarcoon on the Bogan River near Bourke. He died on 26 September 1949.
