Notes
White entered the Royal Military College, Duntroon on 12 March 1914 in the fourth intake of cadets and graduated on 3 April 1916. He embarked for England in June 1916 as a Lieutenant with the 11th Machine Gun Company and arrived in France in November 1916 where his unit were based in the Armentierres sector. He shot in the abdomen at the end of December 1916 and evacuated to England for treatment. He eventually rejoined his unit, then a part of the 3rd (Division) Machine Gun Company, in May 1918. White also served in World War 2 in a Staff position and was awarded an OBE in recognition of his work. He died in 1965 at Heidelberg, Victoria.
