Notes
Granger was a member of the guard of honour at the naming ceremony at Canberra on 12 March 1913. His class was graduated early on 2 November 1914 and he joined the 13th Battalion as a Lieutenant shortly afterwards. Granger landed on Gallipoli late on 25 April and was wounded in action the next day, probably near Quinns Post, when his left arm was "shattered". The Queanbeyan Age reported that he had been killed in action. After hospital treatment in England, Granger returned to Australia in early 1916 and although he resumed duties in May that year, his appointment was terminated in September 1916. Granger served in the Volunteer Defence Corps in World War 2. He was living in Long Jetty NSW when he died on 26 August 1967 aged 72 years.
