Notes
Murray came from Grenfell but was based at RAAF Canberra with No.3 Squadron when he was called up to serve with 77 (Fighter) Squadron in the Korean War. Initially flying out of Iwakuni in Japan, Murray served in the Korean conflict from 8 July 1950 to 4 April 1951. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his leadership and efficiency in inflicting major damage during 69 missions. He was also awarded the US Air Medal in 1951.
