Notes
William Wright worked as a groom at the Royal Military College, Duntroon from April 1911 until he enlisted in April 1915. He served as a Trooper with the 1st Light Horse Regiment on Gallipoli from the end of October 1915. When he returned to Egypt in January 1916 he joined the Western Force in Egypt fighting the Senussi. He was admitted to hospital in November with influenza and was diagnosed with chronic rheumatism. As a result he returned to Australia the following March and was discharged on 25 June 1917. Wright returned to work at Duntroon until October 1918.
Description - height 5 feet 11¾ inches, weight 135 pounds, chest 33 -36 inches, dark complexion, blue eyes, dark hair, Church of England.
