Notes

Thomas Reid was employed as a groom at the Royal Military College, Duntroon from 22 July 1912 until he enlisted in November 1915 in Sydney. He was born near Yass in about 1878, had previously served in the Boer War and gave his occupation as 'miller'. He arrived in France in February 1917 and at the front line in August 1917 with the Australian Army Service Corps. When he returned to Australia in July 1919 he was quarantined due to the influenza pandemic. Reid continued to serve in the Australian Army Service Corps until 29 June 1920 when he was discharged due to the reduction of establishment. Reid returned to the Canberra district and died on 1 October 1960, being buried in the ex-service's portion of Woden Cemetery.
