Notes
Janet (or Jennette) Gallagher was born at the Gallagher family property at Browns Flat near Kowen on 15 January 1880. She trained as a nurse including a stint at the 4th Australian General Hospital, Randwick. Sister Gallagher enlisted on 14 June 1916 (with her aunt, Evelyn) and served for two years with the Australian Army Nursing Service in India before transferring to England in January 1919. She returned to Australia later that year and was discharged on 23 October 1919. She died on 30 December 1957 and is buried in Sydney.
Description - height 5 feet 9 inches, weight 146 pounds, fair complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, Catholic, moles on right side of face, and one on her abdomen.
