Notes

Beauchamp was born in Islington, a suburb of London, in 1867. He was married with children and had been working as a groom at the Royal Military College, Duntroon from August 1914 when he enlisted on 5 October 1915 in Sydney. According to his daughter he had served in the Boer War and his "early years were spent in India with the late Sir Winston Churchill. He was then in the 21st Lancers" with whom he served for 21 years.

Beauchamp served with the 5th Squadron, 2nd Remount Unit in Egypt from December 1915 until April 1916 when he returned to Australia. He was demobilized in June 1916 and later went to work as the accountant at the Prince of Wales Army Hospital, Randwick. He died in 1929.

Description - height 5 feet 7½ inches, weight 150 pounds, 36½ inch chest, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair, Catholic.
